Pinot Gris- aka Pinot Grigio! What is the difference you ask? Pinot Grigio is the Italian way...our style here at Benson Vineyards Estate Winery is more French. Flavors of our Pinot Gris are rich, yet crisp. Brazil nut, spicy pear, apple and spring flowers.
A great white varietal for our vineyard due to it's need for hot short summers and cold winters! The skin of this grape are a reddish purple color when ripe, with skin contact during the winemaking process a pink tinge can occur. But it is so light many people don't notice.
